2020 saw the installation of new playground equipment and outdoor gym equipment, and, before that, beginning in late 2019 the renovation of the area surrounding the cafe on Woodthorpe Park. All three projects were delayed. For the area surrounding cafe, the renovation was heavily delayed because of inclement whether, whereas the installation of the playground equipment and the outdoor gym was delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
