The Friends of Woodthorpe Grange Park is a voluntary group of like-minded people who care for Woodthorpe Grange Park and its environment. The group meets on a quarterly basis at the Grange on Woodthorpe Park.

Initially, the group acts as a link to Nottingham City’s Parks and Leisure Department, by passing on any information as regards environmental issues that concern Woodthorpe Grange Park.

In more recent times the Friends of Woodthorpe Grange Park have taken on a proactive role such as the regular Saturday morning gardening sessions in the park’s Formal and Dell Gardens. Also, in conjunction with seasonal events that take place throughout the year in the park’s Plant Shop, two members lead walks around Woodthorpe Grange Park. One, who is a local historian, leads a heritage walk around Woodthorpe Park, whilst another member, a retired horticultural and landscape architect leads a tree walk around the park’s gardens.

The Friends of Woodthorpe Grange Park are always on the lookout for new members. Also, by becoming a member of the Friends of Woodthorpe Grange Park, on the production of a current membership card, you will receive a 10% discount at the Plant Shop plus, when there is a seasonal event taking place at the Plant Shop, a 10% discount at the pop up cafe that, in due course, will become a permanent on site cafe. Any change to conditions of membership, you will be notified by email.

If all you wish to do is support and take advantage of the membership discount that is entirely up to you as an individual, as there is no obligation to take part in any of the activities.
